The relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux visited the Metropolitan Cathedral of St David on Tuesday 22nd September and Wednesday 23rd September as part of their visit to England and Wales.

There were three specific intentions for our prayerful consideration during the visit and they should properly continue to receive our attention.

- FOR THE EVANGELISATION OF WALES AND HEREFORDSHIRE.
- FOR THE SANCTIFICATION OF GOD’S PEOPLE.
- FOR VOCATIONS TO THE PRIESTHOOD.

Over 4,000 people made pilgrimage to the Cathedral in the twenty-four hours of the visit. The event was a blessing in so many ways. Our faith in the Communion of Saints was tangible in the genuine spiritual devotion of the pilgrims.

The three bishops of the ecclesiastical province, Archbishop Peter Smith of Cardiff, Bishop Edwin Regan of Wrexham and Bishop Tom Burns of Menevia, were present throughout the celebrations in the Cathedral. They were joined by many members of the clergy and representatives of religious congregations including the Carmelite Community of Dolgellau.
